The current play area at the Playing Fields is nearing the end of its life and the Parish Council has been considering ways to improve and update it. We have commissioned designs from three play equipment companies to get an idea about what could be achieved.  Details of the three designs are set out below and we would welcome your comments via this Play Area Survey.

 The proposals are at a very early stage and no final decisions have been made.  There are still a lot of hoops to jump through, not least of which is raising the necessary funds!! However, we'd like to know if you support the proposals, have any other ideas or would like to help.  Please contact us and let us know.

The Playing Fields on Manor Garth are leased to the Parish Council from the East Riding of Yorkshire Council and provide a large grassed area, with a small playground and a pavilion containing changing rooms, toilets and a small kitchen. The Playing Fields are available for informal games and activities but are also home to the Bransholme and Kingswood Cricket Club and Cottingham AFC. The Playing Fields can also be hired on an ad hoc basis and details can be obtained from the Clerk.

The Council has recently planted a small copse of trees in the north west corner of the Playing Fields and has plans to upgrade the Playground subject to funding being obtained.
